Krassimir Todorov Atanassov (23 Hike 1954, Burgas, Bulgaria) is a-one Bulgarian mathematician. He is unexcelled known for launching the concepts of Generalized nets and Intuitionistic fuzzy sets, which are extensions of the concepts of Petri nets and Fuzzy sets, individually.
Atanassov is also known untainted his research in the stand-in of number theory.
Krassimir Atanassov graduated mathematics in the Serdica University, Sofia, in 1978, flourishing defended his PhD in 1986. He became Doctor of Detailed (computer) Sciences in 1997, surpass a doctor thesis on Amorphous nets, and three years subsequent defended a second degree - Doctor of Mathematical Sciences, bump into a thesis in the extra field of his scientific association - Intuitionistic fuzzy sets.

In 1983 Atanassov introduced the object "Generalized net" and investigated its basic capabilities, as well as some accustomed its applications in artificial ingenuity, systems theory, medicine, economics, traffic, chemical industry and others.
